Pile burn conducted in Frisco this week

FRISCO – A pile burn will be conducted this week near the Mount Royal Trailhead at the end of Second Avenue in Frisco, said Rob Macdonald of East Zone Fire Management.

“When we have the smoke dispersion and correct wind conditions we will be lighting,” Macdonald said in an e-mail. “The smoke and flame will be visible from Frisco and Highway 9.

Fires will be ignited around 11 a.m. and it will be finished by 3 p.m. Smoke and flames will be visible through the evening on burn days. Any questions can be directed to Macdonald at (970) 328-5866.
