Pit bulls attack woman, dogs

FORT COLLINS (AP) – Three pit bulls attacked a woman and her two dogs, causing minor injuries to the woman and biting one dog severely enough to require stitches.The three pit bulls have been confined while investigators look into the Thursday night attack, Larimer Humane Society spokeswoman Cary Rentola said.Julie Bugg, 26, suffered minor puncture wounds on her hands when she and neighbors tried to fend off the pit bulls, which had escaped from their yard.One of Bugg’s dogs, a heeler-border collie mix named Hans, required stitches on his chest and three legs and drainage tubes to prevent infection.”I honestly thought he’d be dead,” Bugg said.Authorities did not release the name of the pit bulls’ owner.
