Plans for new medical building leap forward

SILVERTHORNE – The Silverthorne town council unanimously approved the final site plan for a new medical building near The Outlets at Silverthorne Wednesday night.The 11,000 square foot Blue River Professional Building will be located on Tanglewood Lane and is bordered by the Village Inn Restaurant, The Outlets at Silverthorne and single family residences.About a third of the building will be occupied by an urgent care center, while medical or real estate offices will fill the rest.The council approved the site plan with the understanding that several conditions will be met, including the addition of five more coniferous trees on the site and continued work meeting engineering standards.The developer is South Carolina-based Wise Inc., which owns medical buildings in Illinois and South Carolina.Construction is expected to begin this spring.
