Blending the nostalgia of a ski chairlift with the comfort of an elegant home hangout, the team at Mattson McKaig Fine Homes designed “Lifted Spirits.”
This reimagined chairlift has been transformed into a swing, featuring a stained timber frame suitable for standalone use as well as including the necessary brackets for easy integration into a porch or building, said Till Mattson, co-owner of Mattson McKaig Fine Homes.
“It also features a custom inlaid wood graphic on the backrest and table surface,” Mattson said.
Mattson McKaig Fine Homes is a Summit County construction company specializing in new custom homes. Mattson, who grew up in Frisco, said the company is always looking for ways to give back to the community. Co-owner Charlie McKaig, along with a few other team members, helped build “Lifted Spirits.”
“We also love the outdoors and believe that everyone should have access to the beauty that surrounds us,” Mattson said. “A hands-on building project seemed like the perfect opportunity to utilize and showcase our skills in a way that really goes back towards something we care about.”
This is the second year the Town of Frisco has sponsored the Playhouse Project. Vanessa Agee, communications director for the town, said supporting the Playhouse Project this year is a meaningful way to celebrate the connection between the town and Copper Mountain Resort, the event host.
“Frisco is Copper’s town, and Copper is Frisco’s mountain, and we’re proud of the strong partnership and shared community between us,” she said. “It’s also a great opportunity to contribute to a creative and community-driven initiative that reflects the values we both share.”
In community surveys, Agee said Frisco residents consistently rank access to outdoor recreation as one of the top reasons they choose to live here. Supporting Oso Outdoors aligns seamlessly with those values, she said.
