Police make arrest in Dillon bank robbery

Police Thursday arrested 23-year-old Lincoln Carpenter in connection with the Nov. 22 robbery of Alpine Bank in Dillon.

According to a press release from the Dillon Police Department, the Massachusetts man was apprehended by Dillon Police and the FBI at a home in Dillon Valley. Evidence of the robbery was reportedly found inside the home.

On Monday, the suspect in the case entered Alpine Bank at approximately 2:45 p.m. and handed a note to a bank teller demanding money and indicated he had a weapon. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank on foot.



Carpenter was charged with aggravated robbery, a Class 3 felony, and theft, a class 4 felony. He was booked into the Summit County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
