Police offer $125,000 reward in attorney’s slaying

DENVER ” Denver police are offering a $125,000 reward for information about the slaying of a prosecutor who was killed outside his home.

Police say Adams County Deputy District Attorney Sean May was shot in the head and abdomen as he returned from work on Aug. 27. Denver police say the crime garnered little public attention because it happened during the Democratic National Convention.

Police have not said whether May was killed because of his job. Police say they believe the shooter was waiting at May’s his house.

The 37-year-old had been a prosecutor for seven years. May was married and his wife is expecting their first child.
