Praying for Summit Soldier’s safe return

ED BILLEAUD, BRECKENRIDGE

I was glad to see the latest article by the Summit Soldier in the Summit Daily on February 6. Considering the verbal barrage his cause and his commander in chief have taken in these pages, he showed remarkable restraint in his response.I would like this brave American to know that, agree or disagree, I and many others read his words with attention and respect, cognizant of the fact that he (or she) is truly “on the front lines” and is “walking the walk” with regard to duty, honor and country, and we mean it sincerely when we say that we are praying for their safe and speedy return home. Our quarrel, as you rightly surmised, is not with you, Summit Soldier, but with those who selfishly put you, and us, at risk. May we all see the day when wisdom and patriotism will triumph over ignorance and politics.
