Pro-Safeway residents must vote in force in Dec. 9 election

Al Couture - Sage Creek Canyon Drive

Residents of Silverthorne: We are being offered the opportunity to shop for groceries in our own community at a convenient location, away from the traffic congestion surrounding Interstate 70.

Residents of Silverthorne make up the working community of Summit County.

Eighty percent of Silverthorne’s population consists of full-time residents. We work hard to earn a living and deserve the opportunity to spend and keep those dollars in our community.

Time is precious. Why waste It traveling to neighboring locales to shop for groceries? What about our neighbors who, for whatever reason, must rely on bus service to shop for essential foodstuffs?

If we desire to effect a change, it is mandatory that we cast our ballots Dec. 9.

Be assured that the vocal opposition to the proposed location for the Safeway store will be out in full force to cast its vote.

Cast your votes to keep those hard-earned dollars in Silverthorne. Complacency will result in your inability to shop in your own neighborhood. If you are not registered to vote, you can do so at the at town hall no later than Nov. 10.
