Problem is not boarders but age group, maturity and mountain density

I believe Catherine Theisen’s letter, like so many others, misses the point about collisions on the mountain.

In my opinion, blaming snowboarders as a whole is result of Ms. Theisen’s unfortunate incident. Most accidents I’ve read about involve skiers or snowboarders in the 15-to-25 age group. The real problem seems to be maturity and mountain density, not what kind of equipment is being used.

Man, I’ve had more collisions with skiers whacking me in the head with skis as we walk to the lifts than on the mountain.

I remember a separate run for snowboarders, it used to be called a snowboard park.
