PSIA-AASI extends official training site partnership with Copper Mountain

JANICE KURBJUN

The Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI) have extended their partnership with Copper Mountain as the official training site of the PSIA-AASI teams through 2011.

The extended partnership happened just before this year’s PSIA-AASI team training from Oct. 23-28, a news release said. It’s been a partnership in place since the 1980s.

This week, teams prepared presentations for Interski 2011 in St. Anton, Austria. They also learned and reviewed new instruction techniques and met with PSIA-AASI official suppliers and members of the media. Participants also worked on preparations for the association’s 50th anniversary.
