Public welcome to clean-up day at Breckenridge Ski Resort

BRECKENRIDGE – Employees at the Breckenridge Ski Resort are inviting the public to volunteer during their annual Mountain Clean-Up Day, July 1.

Volunteers should meet at 9 a.m. at the Peak 8 Base Plaza for trash bags, gloves and direction to specific clean-up sites.

Volunteers should bring, water, sunblock, hat, snacks, sturdy hiking boots as well as layers to prepare for the unpredictable Colorado weather. July 1 also marks the opening day of the BreckConnect Gondola for summer, which operates from 8:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Free parking is available in Gondola North and South lots. The gondola ride is free and bike transport requires a purchase of a mountain bike haul ticket. No parking is available at the Peak 8 Base.

At noon, Breckenridge Mountain Dinning will be hosting a complimentary barbecue for clean-up volunteers at the newly opened Ski Hill Grill at One Ski Hill Place. Volunteers will also receive a voucher good for any one of the Peak 8 Fun Park activities.
