Railroad Day tradition continues

Daily News staff report

It’s that time of year again, time for the 9th Annual Boreas Pass Railroad Day. The longstanding tradition continues with this year’s event taking place on Saturday. As in years past, there will be events at the Como Roundhouse, Rocky Point, Boreas Pass Section House and the Rotary Snowplow Park in Breckenridge. The events this year will be topped off with a dedication in Breckenridge. The town of Breckenridge will dedicate restored Locomotive 111 and the railroad Eclipse windmill. If you have any questions, comments or would like to volunteer, contact event coordinator Brit Rasmussen at (719) 836-2031.
