Rapper Gift of Gab has confirmed that he will ring in 2010 in Breckenridge. The former Blackalicious front man and member of the Bay Area’s Quantum Crew, will be playing at three20south on December 31, as part of a tour to promote his latest solo album, Escape 2 Mars. This is the rapper’s only scheduled appearance in Colorado.

Escape 2 Mars, released on November 3, was produced by Headnodic and San Francisco’s DNAEBEATS and is Gab’s fourth solo album. The album also features a guest appearance by another Quantum Crew member, Lateef the Truthspeaker as well as a host of other rappers, including some recent visitors to the high country, Brother Ali, and Del the Funky Homosapien.

An opening act and ticket prices have yet to be announced, but the evening will feature a champagne toast at midnight. More details will be announced on the three20south’s website http://www.three20south.com
