Real estate agents finish state conference

BRECKENRIDGE – More than 400 real estate agents from around the state wrapped up a four-day conference in Breckenridge Thursday at Beaver Run Resort. The summer conference hosted by the Summit Association of Realtors marked the quarterly meeting of the state’s agents who are members of the Colorado Association of Realtors. The group held a combination of events that included a cocktail party at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge.Local agents acted as ambassadors to visiting agents by wearing, “Ask Me I’m Local” pins. The Summit Association of Realtors’ membership is reaching record levels at more than 600. President Bonnie Smith Allen said the conference helped to better define the state organization’s public relations campaign that aims to highlight the professionalism Realtors strive to achieve.”We are doing major public relations across the state right now to show we are driven by a code of ethics, that we are held to that and have an accountability. We think that’s very important to the consumer right now,” Smith Allen said. She added that local agents are likely to take back information shared at the conference and discuss ways to improve customer service for their clients. The conference also attempted to prepare incoming leaders for new positions they will assume in September.
