Real Estate At A Glance: Condominium sales in Summit County

Through May, resale condominium prices are more than 5 percent higher than the average price in 2011. About 8.5 percent fewer of them have sold, reflecting the continued difficulty in getting lenders to make condominium loans.

The next three or four months are the busiest time for condominium sales in Summit County. July and August will determine how the condominium market does this year, but prices have at least stopped falling.

The number of properties for sale is increasing as the peak inventory time of early July approaches. There are 1,960 for sale this week, lower than in recent years at this time.
