Real Estate At A Glance: Condominium sales through May

Chuck Leathers
Special to the Daily

Condominium resale prices have been stable for the first half of 2011 with nearly no change. Almost 17 percent more of them have sold as well. There are some complexes where there have been no sales for a year or more, but in complexes where prices have adjusted to today’s market, units are selling, often for cash. That’s because banks are still sitting on your money instead of lending it. There are 2,400 properties for sale this week, still well below last year’s peak.

$319,100… avg. previously owned condominium sale price to date 2011.

$322,800… avg. previously owned condominium sale price to date 2010.
