Real Estate At A Glance: Total Summit County sales

The average sale price for all Summit County properties through February continued to increase. But a lot of that is due to several “new” construction sales at the base of Peak 8 in Breck. The average sale price of resale properties actually fell by 7.7 percent from last year to date. The number of sales remains above the last two years to date. With a very low inventory for sale, prices will probably show better performance as the year goes on.

This week there are 1,527 properties for sale, about as many as sold last year. Well-priced new listings are being sold in a couple of weeks.

19 … number of properties sold for $1 million or more to date in 2013 – 5 at One Ski Hill alone

11.8 percent … market share of $1 million-plus sales to date
