FRISCO — Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic medalists and part-time Summit County residents Red Gerard and Kyle Mack will be featured in upcoming World of X Games specials on ABC.

The Woodward Peace Park Championships will premiere at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3. Last spring, snowboard icon Danny Davis and Woodward joined forces to film 21 of the world’s best snowboarders at Woodward Tahoe at Boreal Mountain Resort in California. It was Davis’ latest annual Peace Park competition and the first to take place at a Woodward Peace Park constructed at a ski resort for the public.

Along with Davis, other snowboarders to ride the custom-built features at Boreal include Red Gerard, Jamie Anderson, Ben Ferguson, Mark McMorris, Scotty James, Brock Crouch, Rene Rinnekangas, Maddie Mastro, Elena Hight, Sebbe DeBuck, Raibu Katayama, Stale Sandbech and Jiayu Liu.

Then at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 17, Kyle Mack and his snowboarding group dubbed Mayhem will premiere their new snowboarding film “Per Mission.” The film follows Mack as he chases contests and street rails through last winter in creating his first feature film.

The film goes beyond just the riding, showing the struggles of putting together a video, the contrast between contests and filming, and the bond shared through traveling the globe with a snowboard. Friends and fellow pro snowboarders Luke Winklemann and Brandon Davis are featured in the film, as well.
