Red, White and Blue fire leaders recognized

Daily News staff report

Four leaders of the Red, White and Blue Fire District were awarded for dedication and excellence in their jobs, the district announced this recently.

Fire chief Lori Miller, division chief Ryan Roberts, captains Matt Benedict and Jason Kline earned credentials from the Center for Public Safety Excellence, the same organization that accredited the district earlier this year, according to a statement from Red, White and Blue.

“We are very honored and humbled,” Miller stated in the release. “The community can be proud of their fire district as well as the men and women who serve them.”

The designations require extensive training and experience, according to the statement, including participation in emergency services at the national, state and local levels, involvement in the broader community and validation from peers in emergency services.

Roberts also won an “ambassador” award from the center, recognizing “outstanding individuals whose dedication and advocacy for the Center for Public Safety Excellence and its programs contribute directly to the success of the organization,” the release stated.
