Regarding the proposed Frisco lodging tax

Paul Connelly, The Mountains, Frisco

I believe it’s a good idea, as long as all proceeds go toward either promoting lodging in Frisco or improving services that will help in selling lodging in Frisco.

One example would be re-introduction of the Frisco Flyer, which was canceled for the want of $27k, but made many condo shuttles accessible.

Just beware that Frisco is an easy sell as an alternative to Breckenridge, Keystone or Copper, but only because it is better value for people skiing multiple resorts.

If we reduce the differential too much then we reduce the incentive to stay in Frisco.

Also any new tax must be on reservations made after the tax is put into effect and not be made retroactive.
