One person is dead after a rafting accident Friday morning on Clear Creek.

The Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office says it was called at about 11:30 a.m. to a rafting accident off U.S. 6. When first responders arrived, bystanders were attempting to revive the person, identified only as a female.

“The female was transported back across the creek to waiting Clear Creek EMS personnel,” the sheriff’s office said. “After an exhaustive attempt to revive the female, she was pronounced dead at the scene.”

The sheriff’s office says it will continue to investigate the death along with the county coroner.

No further information was released in the case.
