Relay for Life to be held at SHS

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

Relay for Life, the signature event of the American Cancer Society, will be held Saturday, August 12 through Sunday, August 13 at Summit High School. The goal of this community team event is to raise funds and awareness to fight cancer. This overnight celebration of life honors cancer survivors and pays tribute to loved ones. Teams of eight to 15 people will start walking the Summit High School track at 3 p.m. and will end at 7 a.m. One team member must be walking at all times. Camping and RVs are recommended, as well as grills and sleeping supplies. Registration is $100 per team, with a goal of each team member raising $100 individually. If you are interested in putting a team together, volunteering or being a sponsor, call Mimi Hobbs at (970) 513-6788 or e-mail her at mmh80498@yahoo.com.
