Religion should not keep Romney out of a job

Vicki Cook, Silverthorne

Am I in the 21st century or in the 1830s? Deja-vu. Joseph Smith decided to run for the president in1837. Why, because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints were being horribly prosecuted. Prosecuted because of their religion. In the land of the free and home of the brave, these people were burned out of their homes, women were raped, some children died, and men were shot or hanged because they would not leave their homes or land. Joseph wanted better enforcement of the laws. Here we are 174 years later what are we still doing? A “Mormon” wants to run for president. Here is a man that is loved by his family, (unlike one man whose family doesn’t like him). He has one wife and no women on the side and he has moral standards. Geez, that was missing in a few presidents’ time.Romney has been a person who has worked up to where he is now. His co-workers And partners can’t dig up trash so they have to do the religion thing. Listen to the man at the debates he has good solutions and good ideas. The debates on TV were a real farce. What does our national welfare and security has to do with him having sex with his wife before they were married. How discussing and degrading; the man has more to offer then stupid questions. Did anybody ask Bill Clinton that? What about JFK? Now he had some stories to tell. Let’s get real here and think about important things. Check out the good and bad of each candidate and what they can do for our country. I am L.D.S. and I have voted for the man I felt would do us a good job. I didn’t look at his religion and belief in God, but thank heaven we still have men running that do believe in God.
