Religious floats in parade were in their place.

Barbara Strickland, Dillon

Freedom of religion as well as Mr. Dan Marion’s freedom of speech is an appropriate celebration of our rights in this free country.

America’s independence from our former mother country should celebrate the freedoms that we have. A Jew is not required to wear a star, and our government is not permitted to tell our churches and synagogues how to worship.

Mr. Marion should be proud to be a Jew. My Lord Jesus was a Jew. I hope the Red Bus continues to show our county that we have the freedom of religion. I hope next year to see the Jewish community place a float in the parade.

The children on bicycles give us the example of freedom to pursue happiness. Mr. Marion was insulted and I wish him happiness as well as the love of our one God.
