Rescue teams begin recovery search for missing snowshoer

MESA – Recovery efforts began Wednesday for a snowshoer missing since heavy snowstorms moved through western Colorado last week, Mesa County sheriff’s officials said.Daniel Walker, 54, has not been seen since Jan. 9, when he was separated from his wife and daughter after the three got lost on the 10,500-foot-high Grand Mesa.Walker’s wife, Deborah, and the couple’s 18-year-old daughter, Camille, were rescued Jan. 11.
