Retail is ill advised

As with many of its recent actions, the Frisco Town Council’s imminent issuance of a request for proposals for retail development on the 9.4-acre parcel is ill advised, especially in light of long-standing and significant negative sentiment regarding the same and the probability of a ballot initiative which will determine the use of said 9.4 parcel.I can’t imagine any (informed) prospective developers or design/build firms investing much, if any, time or money responding to such a tenuous proposition. To expect otherwise is foolhardy. If big box(es) are built on the 9.4 acres, I submit the town council is guilty of identity theft.
