Right Brain: Nino Gabashvili

Kimberly Nicoletti
Summit Daily/Reid Williams Watercolor artist, Nino Gabashvili

Nino Gabashvili wants all artists to know that they are special – that their work will live forever. Born in the Republic of Georgia, she has been exhibiting her paintings since she was 8 and has found a way to support herself doing what she loves.”Art enlightens us to the brilliance of the past, and it needs to be appreciated,” she says.DreamsMy dream is to have the time to explore to the fullest the things that I love. I want to travel more and express what I see with the colors I choose. I seek to have my own style.

Why do art?Art gives me the opportunity to explore the connection between the hand, the mind and the soul. Art makes my life more rich and gives me a sense of satisfaction. What do you try to convey through your art? To show people that there is beauty in all things.

ChallengeTo make people understand that art is not something small or insignificant – that it bears a great deal of importance in all aspects of life.Accomplishment I was born and raised in the Republic of Georgia and when I was 8 years old, I was already painting and exhibiting my art. I worked very hard and was able to support myself doing what I love.

Staying freshI look outside myself for inspiration and I take what I see inside me, and as it grows, it takes the form of art. When you’re not doing art? I study full-time in college, and I also work at the Ski Hill Picture Framing Gallery as well as Holly’s Pizzazz Boutique. I try to keep some time for my dearest friends because they are my family here and they mean a lot to me.
