Right Brain: Price Trosin

Summit Daily/Brad Odekirk Price Trosin, Acting/Music

Price Trosin can be whomever he wants to be when he’s on stage – whether it’s playing guitar or acting. But the problem he’s run into since moving from Milwaukee, Wis., to Summit County six years ago is time. He just doesn’t have enough time to do everything he wants. After a role in “Earth and Sky,” the Backstage Theatre accepted him for “Travels With My Aunt,” but he had to turn it down because of his work schedule. So for now, he’s hitting the open mic circuit, bucking the classic rock mindset.DreamsOf course I want to be in a band – who doesn’t? And I’d like to keep acting – maybe even get paid to do it someday. It’s really fun.

Why do you do it? Acting builds confidence, and when I’m home by myself I like to rock on guitar and be my own best audience. What do you convey through art? That it’s what I like to do, and if anyone doesn’t like it, screw ’em.

ChallengeAuditioning, but I just go and do it.Accomplishment I once practiced a bunch of songs a lot, went to an open mike with about 50 people and got really good applause.

Staying fresh I watch movies for acting and listen to new songs to rock to.When you’re not doing art? I work, relax and rehabilitate my knee.
