Ritchey, formerly of Dillon, dies at 91

Dorothy Ritchey, formerly of Dillon, passed away March 13, 2005, at Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge. She was born Nov. 25, 1913, in Stromsberg, Neb.Ritchey lived in Summit County on and off from the 1950s to the 1980s.She is survived by five children: Phyllis Knight and Randy Ritchey both of Wheat Ridge; Joyce Black of Aurora; Jane Stauffer of Bellefonte, Pa.; Daniel Ritchey of Lakewood; and two sons-in-law, Bill and Doyle. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, two brothers in California, three brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews from Colorado, California and Michigan.Ritchey is preceded in death by her husband Clyde Ritchey, who was born in Dillon in 1915. “She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed,” said daughter Jane Stauffer.Ritchey will be buried next to her husband in the Dillon Cemetery.
