Road closed for fire training

Daily News staff report

Due to a live fire training exercise, Eighth Avenue in Frisco will be closed beginning today between Summit Boulevard and Frisco Street. The small portion of road could potentially be closed until Saturday, depending on how quickly the exercise proceeds. Drivers will be able to gain access to the Recycling Center. Local firefighters will torch seven small cabins, then extinguish the flames for practice.
