Robert Maher: That elusive small-town feel

Robert Maher
Silverthorne

After reading Eric’s letter concerning all the noise in Breck and how it has grown so much since he moved there back in 2007, I have some advice:

If you want a quite street to live on, avoid streets called Main Street. As the name implies they are busy.

If you want a town that caters to the local working renters who pay no property taxes, you may have to leave the United States.

If you want a town that has no new building going on, I suggest you move to Detroit.

Good luck
