Rocky Mountain PBS hosts ‘Spring into Action’ with chef Christy Rost

Combining the joys and flavorful appeal of the culinary arts with the pleasures of gardening and growing fresh ingredients for the table, Rocky Mountain PBS will host a “Spring Into Action” Pledge Drive on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon on Rocky Mountain PBS (check local listings for channels) from their Denver studios.

The high-energy and informative pledge drive will feature public television chef Christy Rost, Breckenridge second-home owner and host of the national special “A Home for Christy Rost: Thanksgiving,” and Colorado State University Horticulturist Patti O’Neal. Rost and O’Neal will present a colorful program showing how to grow and cook fresh ingredients to a live audience at RMPBS, along with viewers across Colorado.

Rost will prepare a spring menu featuring Colorado Lamb Loin Chops with Red Currant Mint Sauce, along with a Spring Medley Salad with assorted locally-grown salad greens, herbs and vegetables, and Strawberries ‘n Cream Shortcakes with Chantilly Cream and Edible Flowers. Visit for more details.
