Rollie Heath will be better friend of labor than incumbent Gov. Bill Owens, who hurt public employees union

Rollie Heath is running for governor, and I think he will be a big improvement over what we’ve had these past four years.

Working men and women have gotten the short end of the prosperity stick, and the present governor has not been a friend of labor.

My union, the Colorado Association of Public Employees, has been hurt by Owens’ executive order to do away with payroll deductions for union dues. His aim is clearly to weaken the union.

Heath surely will be a big improvement. He will stand behind us and listen to our issues and concerns. My family and I are voting for Heath on Nov. 5 and hope the working men and women reading this letter come out and vote for him, too.
