Romp to Stomp pre-registration is March 3
The Tubbs Romp to Stomp out Breast Cancer Snowshoe event is coming to the Frisco Nordic Center Saturday, March 10. This event helps to raise awareness for breast cancer and money for the Denver Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
The Romp to Stomp includes a 3K snowshoe race at 9 a.m. and a 3K or 5K snowshoe walk starting at 9:30 a.m. Race participants will compete for first-place trophies and great prizes in five categories: men’s, women’s, masters men’s and women’s and breast cancer survivor.
The cost is $20 prior to the event and $25 the day of the event. For more information, to register and fundraise online go to http://www.tubbsromptostomp.com. This year you can pre-register locally and receive your T-shirt and goody bag. No need to check-in the day of the event.
Pre-registration will be held on Saturday, March 3, at the Wells Fargo locations in Breckenridge, Dillon and Frisco from 9 to noon and Coldwater Creek in the Silverthorne Factory Outlets from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tubbs snowshoes will provide limited quantities of free demo snowshoes for use on a first-come, first-served basis.
Other activities for the day include a free pancake breakfast, entertainment by Nancy Cook, a silent auction, sponsor displays and a lot of good fun. All participants receive a T-shirt. Form a team of friends and co-workers to enjoy the day with you! There are team prizes for the largest, the one raising the most money and the team with the best costume.
All participants who collect pre-event pledges will be entered into drawings for outdoor gear. One grand-prize package will be given out to the participant who raises the most in pre-event pledges.
The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is the nation’s largest private provider of funds for breast cancer research and community outreach programs. It is a foundation borne out the poignant request of one dying sister to another and a foundation committed to eradicating the horrible disease. Its’ mission – the cure and control of breast cancer – is an important one to all women, family and friends.
