Ronald W. Fox: Strange comments

Ronald W. Fox

Was there a full moon on March 16? Consider these strange comments:

(1) “It’s more insider and process-oriented than most people want to know,” the speaker said in a roundtable discussion with bloggers Monday. “But I like it,” she said, “because people don’t have to vote on the Senate bill.”

-Nancy Pelosi -House Speaker commenting on the Senate health care bill March 16 … enough said

(2) “Your employer, it’s estimated, would see premiums fall by as much as 3,000 percent, which means they could give you a raise.”

-President Barrack H. Obama speaking about the Senate health care bill (does that mean you get a negative premium cost?)

(3) “Let’s deal with reality,” Holder said. “You’re talking about a hypothetical that will never occur. We will be reading Miranda rights to the corpse of Obama bin Laden. He will never appear in an American courtroom. That’s the reality. … He will be killed by us or he will be killed by his own people, so he’s not captured by us. We know that.”

-Attorney General Eric Holder Senate testimony on the possible civilian trial of Osama Bin Laden. Hmm, maybe a bit of clairvoyance?

How can supposedly rational people make comments like this? It doesn’t get much stranger than this.
