When selling a home, the square footage needs to be emphasized. If a space has too much stuff in it, the square footage is lost in clutter.

The original state of this dining room was cluttered. There was too much furniture in the room, too many wall hangings, and too many pieces stored in the windowed hutch. All that “stuff” takes the buyers’ attention away from the space. When selling a home, the square footage needs to be emphasized. If a space has too much stuff in it, the square footage is lost in clutter.

After staging, the room takes on an air of spaciousness and a welcoming feel. This was accomplished by simply removing some of the room’s contents, including furniture and wall hangings, and decluttering the hutch. Little effort with big payback!
