Rotary club event needs hosts

The Summit County Rotary Club is sponsoring 22 high school students from around the world this weekend for three days of skiing and snowboarding. Friday morning, a bus load of students will arrive at Copper Mountain’s Copper Station. Many have never participated in snow sports, coming from places like Ecuador and Brazil. Others have some snow experience, coming from such countries as Sweden, Finland, France, Italy, Germany and Russia. If you would be interested in hosting a student Friday and Saturday night, please contact Eric Fisher at (970) 668-1949. Hosts are required to pick their student up at the Mountainside Condos in Frisco on Friday night at around 9 p.m. They then have to deliver them to Copper Mountain after providing breakfast by 9 a.m, Saturday, with the same schedule Saturday night and Sunday morning. Hosts are invited to ski/ride with the group and attend the evening parties at Mountainside. Further information about this event and the Rotary Club youth exchange programs can be obtained by contacting Eric at
