Rotary’s Summit Showdown slated for Sept. 24

The Rotary Club of Summit County will be holding its annual Summit Showdown, a world series qualifier Poker Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Best Western, Lake Dillon Lodge in Frisco. This is a no-limit Texas Hold ‘Em tournament. The doors open at 1 p.m. and play will begin at 2. The winner of this tourney earns a seat at the Denver qualifier, obtaining a chance to go to Las Vegas and participate in the World Series of Poker. The cost is $60 for a seat, food and cash bar. There will be $450 in cash prizes as well as the custom jacket for the winner and plaques for second- and third-place finishes.
