Safety first: Red, White, and Blue leads fire education course at Little Red SchoolHouse

Pre-school aged students crawled out of the classroom following Red, White & Blue firefighter-paramedic Chris Drumwright in his full gear on Thursday morning at the Little Red SchoolHouse in Breckenridge. As part of the demonstration in case of a fire emergency, the two firefighter-paramedics led the classroom with basics — from getting to know what a firefighter looks like in an intimidating fire suit and face shield — to knowing what to do in a smoke-filled building. “It’s about building trust so the kids are not afraid of us,” says Drumwright.
