Sandee Mosqueda: Missing Barrie Skillman

Sandee Mosqueda

Dear Breckenridge community:

My brother Bill and I would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of you who have taken the time to call us, talk to us and email us about our mom, Barrie Skillman.

As you can imagine, this has been a very difficult time for our families, especially her grandchildren. The time since she has died been a whirlwind of busy work, but it has been such comfort to be able to read all of the messages and stories you have been so kind to take the time to share with us. They are the salve to help heal our wounded hearts.

We, too, have loved visiting Breckenridge. Our children learned to snowboard there, go sledding and spend quality time with their beloved “Maureez.” We will miss her forever, but we thank you all so very much for leaving us lasting words to share with our children and their children and her brothers. Our mom loved being part of all of your lives, and living in Breck was a dream come true for our Philadelphia-born mom.
