Scam story saves the day

Bill BarrBreckenridge

Thanks to Nicole Formosa of the Summit Daily News and Bruce Adams of Frisco for the July 9 article on potential scammers. I am running an ad in the SDN classified and got a call yesterday via a relay network. A little alarm went off. I sent an e-mail expanding on my ad and, in reply, got an extensive email including payment details. A big alarm went off. I looked up Nicole’s article and discovered the e-mail I got matched the scam almost exactly. I sent my caller a request for verifiable information and, of course, have not heard from “him” since. So, SDN classified advertisers, be on the alert. They are not just going after businesses. Thanks again, Nicole and Bruce.
