Scanlan deserves some credit for Dam Road opening

Don Parsons
Dillon

Many deserve great credit for bringing the Dam Road impasse to a successful and face saving conclusion, among them elected, executive, and public safety officials of Summit County and the municipalities of Dillon, Silverthorne and Frisco. I am especially proud of my Dillon colleagues.

One who may not receive headlines or quotes but was quietly effective behind the scenes was state Rep. Christine Scanlan, who had the grit and the imagination to implement media and federal official contacts early in the process.

This accelerated the resolution of the seemingly locked-horns intransigence that characterized the initial confrontation. Christine is a gift to Summit County in her many roles, and a gift to our state legislature. She deserves our support in her current campaign for election as District 56 State Representative.
