Scholarship offered for young women

The PEO Organization, Chapter FU Breckenridge is inviting Summit County young women to apply for a continuing education award for up to $1,500. This award is available from the Anne Scott Memorial Fund and is open to women who are:- Summit High School graduates; – residents of Summit County; – currently enrolled in an accredited full-time, four-year academic program or Masters program; – are maintaining a grade percentage average of at least 80 percent; – are involved in extra curricular activities; and- are in a position of financial need.The PEO Organization supports women’s education through scholarships for college and graduate students. Low-interest loans are available for women returning to school for education or to complete a degree. PEO raises money for scholarships through local dues, fundraisers and donations.The application deadline is June 23, and can be sent to Dee Simon, P.O. Box 23048, Silverthorne, CO 80498.
