School to reopen Monday after asbestos scare

BROOMFIELD- Classes at Broomfield High School will resume Monday, after test results showing the presence of asbestos in hallway air had closed the school for the weekend, KUSA-TV in Denver reported.More tests were conducted Saturday. KUSA reported that 49 of 50 tests did not show a measurable level of asbestos, while one showed a reading considered very low.School officials did not know why earlier tests showed higher levels of asbestos in the air.The school was closed Friday and a basketball game was postponed after air test results showed the substance was present.
