Scott Mathews: Letters lean too far right

Scott Mathews

I find it particularly disturbing that a recent paper was inundated with negative letters obviously composed by right-wing pundits with no concern of political balance in what is published in your paper. Three anti-Obama letters and one pro-life. If I was to be reading my first issue of the Summit Daily News I would have thought I just opened up a third-grader’s version of The New York Times.

Please understand that everyone is allowed their opinion but why so heavily conservative? Why all the red and no blue? Beware of the content that you are printing. Being that these comments are not fact-checked but just more regurgitation of the conservative agenda, I hope that this can be counter-balanced by opinions of another view when possible.

Editor’s note: Letters appear more or less in the order we receive them.
