SDN should not have looked past Pearl Harbor anniversary

Pam Brown, Dillon

Dec. 7 is a day that all Americans should take time out to honor and remember the men and women who were at Pearl Harbor on that Sunday morning in 1941; both the survivors and the 1,200-plus who lost their lives. I was disappointed that the Summit Daily News made no mention of the 64th anniversary of Pearl Harbor in the Dec. 7 issue. Even just a little blurb would have been nice. It seems that two pages of letters about the Home Depot are more important. I hope that in the future, the SDN will recognize the importance of bringing these historical events to the attention of their readers.
