Sean McAllister: Too many good choices in Breck

Sean McAllister

Many people have asked me for an endorsement in this upcoming Breckenridge municipal election. What I think is important for the town is to get a diverse group who represent different interests of the town. Dudick would be good to represent large employers in town who understand marketing. McAtameny would be good to represent woman and families. Rossi would be good to be the fearless champion of the little guy. Allen would be good to represent the real estate community. Burke would be good because he’s a good guy with great experience. Brewer is a long-time local and Crispell is an experienced and respected leader. The point is, Breckenridge will be well served by any three of these candidates. There seems to be community consensus on the big issues: sustainable development, affordable housing, increased child care, partnering with the ski resort but not caving in to their every demand to pack the town with unsustainable numbers, and continuing to support the efforts of families to live and work here. We have a little gem here. Let’s continue to polish it.
