Seniors Rummage Sale seeks donations

The Summit County Seniors announce their annual Gigantic Royal Rummage Sale to be held Aug. 13-16 at the Summit County Community and Senior Center, Peak 1 Blvd, south of Frisco.

Donations of rummage, clean and in good condition, will be accepted at the center from noon to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, and on Wednesday. Aug. 12, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Large furniture, mattresses, large appliances, TVs and computer monitors, without computers, cannot be accepted.

The sale opens with a special presale on Thursday, Aug. 13, from 5-8 pm. A $10/person donation will be charged for the presale hours only.

This year’s Silent Auction at the sale will include a car, a pontoon boat and a luxurious fur coat, as well as wine presentations, restaurant coupons, and original artwork.

Regular sale hours will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday. On Sunday, items inside of the building will go for $1 a bagful. All other items will be greatly reduced.

All proceeds from the sale will go to Summit County charitable organizations supporting seniors. Call (970) 668-2940 for more info.
