BRECKENRIDGE If nature inspires you and adventure fires you up, get into the Outdoor Breckenridge Series, running through January, February, and March. The Breckenridge Recreation Department prepares and informs you this winter, through educational and exciting programs every Monday night from 7-8:30 p.m. Learn hands-on skills for backcountry excursions at the Breckenridge Recreation Center the first, third and fourth Monday of each month. Learn to cook one-pot meals in the backcountry (Jan. 22) and taste your own delicious creations. Ready your gear for the trip at a ski waxing clinic (Jan. 29) or sign up for Survival 101 (March 5) and learn about how not to get eaten by backcountry animals (March 26).The Epic Tales series includes tantalizing multimedia looks at adventures around the globe, including stories on skiing, climbing and sea kayaking. The programs will run Feb. 12 and March 12 at the Breckenridge Theatre.All Outdoor Breckenridge programs are only $5 at the door and benefit the Breckenridge Nature Series.
