Services set for 3-year-old Georgetown boy

GEORGETOWN – Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday for Foster Knox Alspaugh of Georgetown, who would have turned 3 April 19. He died March 30. Services will be held at the Georgetown Community Center.

The toddler was born to parents Kimberly Knox and Daren Alspaugh, both of whom are ski and bicycle sales representatives in the High Country, including in Summit County.

Alspaugh apparently died of an upper respiratory infection.

Friends of the family say Alspaugh loved his Thomas train, his Buzz Lightyear and loved to ski. His father referred to the boy as a shooting star, who was a healthy, active, happy, little boy.

He is survived by his parents; maternal grandmother Rene Knox of New York state; paternal grandparents Fred and Ann Alspaugh of Michigan; and sister, Chloe, 6 months.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, contributions can be made to the Foster Knox Alspaugh fund, c/o Clear Creek National Bank, P.O. Box 337, Georgetown, CO 80444.
